Our little guest of honor was slow in warming up to the festive mood because of an unplanned birthday bash (to his eye!) earlier in the day. He begrudgingly and defeatedly enjoyed his cake, and only half-interestedly admired his gifts during the more social portion of his party, but with a healthy dose of ball-pit time and an injection of post-bedtime, post-caketime energy, he was striding around like a confident 1-ager.

Now one day removed from the party, it's safe to say that Vinny has enjoyed playing with every last one of his birthday gifts, including cash, checks and bonds. Thanks for all the thoughtful gift giving.
